FROM CHALKBOARD TO DASHBOARD: UTILIZATION OF SEVIMA EDLINK IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING (ELT) PRACTICES

Abstract


This research describes the utilization of SEVIMA EdLink for English Language Teaching (ELT) at ITB AAS Indonesia in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This research is a descriptive qualitative. The analysis shows that EdLink learning technology as an online learning medium has been integrated within the Academic Information System or Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) of ITB AAS Indonesia which can be accessed at https://edlink.id/ or https://siakad.itbaas.ac.id/gate/menu#edlink ITB AAS Indonesia. SEVIMA EdLink is an online learning supporter that focuses on digitalization, preparing teachers and students to become skilled workers in IT-based learning, considering economic, functional, psychological, creative, and innovative values. SEVIMA EdLink is an educational application that helps lecturers and teachers save time, organize classes, and improve communication with students. It offers features such as class forums, teaching materials, discussion forums, task features, rating and feedback, quiz fitting, sharing, private messages, and information, events/agendas, and surveys. Using EdLink offer several benefits for English lecturer. EdLink allows for easy control and management of English learning, including course schedules, student attendance, assessment history, and thesis guidance. Lecturer performance reports, such as teaching Dharma, are easily accessible and reportable. EdLink is adaptable to changes in national academic regulations and higher education institution needs. Edlink media is recommended for language learning, offering remote interaction and material support. This application allows for flexible study time, improved organization, and improved communication between teachers and students. It also supports remote interaction through written or video conversations, making it an effective tool for ELT in the digital era.
